Well about 2 months ago my dad suggested to me that I could tag along to Toronto with him on a business trip of his for my birthday present. See a basketball game and stuff like that. I was pretty happy about it. But have only gotten happier since... I get to see Sarah Slean perform a short set at the ONE BIG NO peace concert, also get to see Sarah Harmer play a short set there as well. As if that wasn't enough, I scored tickets to see Ms Harmer AGAIN the following night at Hugh's room with all proceeds going to help Iraqi children, a wonderful cause. So now I get to see 2 of my few favorite artists perform (Harmer for the first time!) and see a Raptors game on top of all that. I'm pretty damn excited. Oh yah I'm flying there, I don't fly much and I love it! Can't wait heh heh...

Singin songs of work and worth

Wonderful, and without a doubt best concert i've been too. Well maybe a tie with Sarah. Wonderful is all I can say about it. Such a great storyteller, and a very nice man (met him briefly after the show). He was quite surprised a 19 year old guy was such a fan I think, asking how I heard about him and such things. Was an amazing night. Got to share it with my girl as well, couldn't ask for more than that.

One full day has passed since that wondrous night that Sarah Slean took to stage in St. John's. I can't stop thinking about it. It was a night of bliss. I got a chance to meet her before the show (and after), and even though I was probably all googley eyed, she was so so kind, so sweet, so adorable. After the second show (played back to back) I approached her to thank her for one of the most wonderful nights of my life. She put on her big smile touched my shoulder and said "Thank you so much". I felt like Martin, in one of her stories.

If you ever get a chance to see her play, do so. I'm sure she is the best musician of my time and a wonderful performer. It was a dream to see her play, a recurring dream that I have again. Thank you Sarah.
